This is our class blog for English 110 at The Ohio State University branch campus in Marion, Ohio.
The photos used were very powerful, but it would have been awesome if you could have played a clip of one of his speeches, like when you were talking about the March on Washington. Also, it was a little hard to hear both of you when you spoke. You covered the content really well though.
Great use of powerpoint, not many distractions. I love that your group chose MLK, very historical.
Good photo's, not too much, not too little. The slides did not take away attention, should have added a video! Very monotone and serious tone like throughout speech.
I found it interesting how his protests were always peaceful and exceptionally powerful, but when he was killed the people turned violent with riots. I thought your group did well with presenting, although the next time you could try speaking just a little bit louder for the back rows to hear. Other than that, I felt this presentation was very informative and I really enjoyed it.
I always knew that Martin Luther King Jr.'s death influenced the movement for reform for freedom for all races but i didn't realize his death helped push the movement forward much faster.
I also think a clip from one of his speeches would have added to your speech. A clip from his "I Have a Dream" speech would be really powerful. It's hard to imagine how America would be without the influence of MLK Jr.
I learned a lot about MLK Jr. that I did not know before. I specifically liked learning about his the protests he lead. You guys had a great slideshow- it was very simple and organized which was perfect for this presentation.
I never realized how much his death really influenced the Civil Right movement, and your presentation really showed how much of an impact he had on the movement both when he died and in life. The images in you slide show were very powerful and accented your presentation well.
I liked the use of pictures in your presentation. I didnt know that MLK Jr. was the cause of many riots after his death. Good job.
Good job guys!the power point definitely added to your presentation and you made it easy to follow. Next time talk a little louder I found it hard to hear you guys at times.
Great presentation, I was under the assumption that Martin Luther King Jr. was born with a great speaking ability, but he actually developed it in the church. The power point did a good job just showing the necessary information.
Good presentation! Great job guys!!! MLK had many riots after his death and he changed lives.
This was a very strong subject you guys handled and you did it well. You showed everything with great points and tied his work together just as well.
Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the most known figure in United States society. His contributions to society has affected everyone from education to politics. The presentation explained and showed this well using examples such as "I Have a Dream" speech. Well done guys!
