Mandela’s speech really took me in as I felt so strongly for him. I have always been a fan of him and he has such a way with words, it’s not like other politicians where they talk in circles and confuse you. He talks as if we are people and he is our friend and knows us. When I was reading his speech I noticed how in love he is with his country. He lives for his country and he wants to see her rebuilt and become strong stable which means a lot to any nation. The like that his me the most is this “We live with the ho9pe that as she battles to remake herself, South Africa will be like a microcosm of the new world that is striving to be born. This must be a world of democracy and respect for human rights, a world freed from the horrors of poverty, hunger, deprivation and ignorance, relieved of the threat and the scourge of civil wars and external aggression and unburdened of the great tragedy of millions forced to become refugees.” He is telling facts some people might not want to hear, there is problems all around our changing world and some people can’t see the problems that are around us. Our world is just one big country and we all play a part in its history and future.

South Africa is now under an economical crisis and about ever one in four people have a job. The country is still close and working to get better, it will take some time due to the fact that they almost had a civil war. Most of the farmland is still owned by the “white” Africa and the hard ship is still there. They are always keeping hope alive right now they are working on a new world cup stadium.
