The article I chose is not about a specific event or incident in Afghanistan, but is about a decision the Army made about their camouflage uniforms. People serving in the military have been complaining ever since the Army came out with the Universal Camouflage Pattern (also called Army Digital) that the pattern is ineffective in many real-life situations, especially in rural Afghanistan. The Army's choice to change to a new camouflage pattern made me very happy. Now it should be easier for soldiers to blend in to their environment, which will hopefully make it safer for them. Insurgents can't shoot at you if they can't see you.
